I have been a stylist for 30 years, and a salon owner for 26 years. With endless family support and an amazing staff, Michelle’s Full service Salon has been growing strong for 20 plus years. Whether it is a cut & color, product knowledge, or salon technology class, I embrace change and I am up for the challenge! I am passionate about the constant education this industry offers. By staying current with all the latest trends for both men and women, my goal is to deliver the best salon experience possible. It’s so satisfying to have a positive influence on how a person feels about themselves by simply changing their appearance. I enjoy providing a relaxing, healthy, and welcoming environment for my staff as well as our clientele.
In 1960, I made the choice to become a hairdresser. I went to NYC and registered with Hollywood Beauty School. It took a year and a half before I had my first experience in the salon “House of Richard” in NYC. In those days, the industry was focused on dressing the hair with flips, french twists, etc. and a haircut was considered secondary. With the arrival of Vidal Sassoon, the haircut became vital
Today for me, the haircut is the most important. A good haircut is a sculpture. A woman with a good haircut can get a perm, color, highlights or streaks because she feels secure with the foundation.
My passion is to see a woman happy. When you make a woman happy … you are a winner!

Michelle & Paul made the mistake letting me in the door 13 years ago, and I have since refused to leave! I had worked for another salon for 23 years and left when they closed. It was a great experience and now I am even happier at Michelle’s. Over the years, I’ve taken many color classes with Aveda, which is my preferred product line, Wella , Clairol and others. I was on the R&D team for Clairol for some time. I feel one of my strong suits is doing color – be it covering grey, corrective work or highlights. I also specialize in taking care of the weekly needs of mature clients with severe thinning issues. I can make 3 hairs look like 5 with a style that lasts a week. I am a people person and enjoy interacting with my clients who over the years have become like family. Hairstylists have the opportunity to create, on a daily basis, works of art through a form of sculpture and color. We get paid to create this art while making people look and feel good about themselves.
